Emergency Services

Crisis intervention is the most important service we provide to our community. Twenty-four hours a day for seven days a week, highly trained clinical staff are available via telephone and in person to complete the process of turning pain, disappointments and intense personal turmoil into initial solutions. Crisis Intervention Staff are ready to assist, guide and direct in matters such as:

  • Extreme behavior.
  • Mental confusion of an elderly loved one.
  • The problems of a substance abusing spouse or child.
  • The disappointment of a once strong and loving marriage.
  • Anger directed toward others.
  • Depression directed toward self.

Where can these services be obtained?

  • Colonial Services Board
  • Law Enforcement Centers

We believe that effective prevention services reduces the incidence of mental illness, mental retardation, and chemical dependence in our communities, as well as:

  • Encourage positive strengths
  • Enhance coping skills
  • Provide healthy alternatives
  • Identify resources for those in need
  • Provide community outreach for children in high risk areas
  • Support drug free lifestyles for our youth

Early Intervention Services are provided to children from birth to age three who have a diagnosed developmental disability or who are experiencing delays in their development. These services are intended to prevent further developmental problems or lessen the need for more intensive services as the child grows.

Our contract with Child Development Resources (CDR) allows us to provide a nationally recognized Infant-Parent Program. This program provides state-of-the-art early intervention services to families for infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities, developmental delays and health impairments.

Child Development Resources Inc. is a non-profit, privately run organization. They have earned national recognition for the quality of their Early Intervention Services.
