Assessing ADHD in Children

A Presentation for parents, caregivers and professionals given by:
Syed Z. Ahsan, MD: Psychiatrist, Colonial Behavioral Health

When: Thursday, May 10 - 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Where: Head Start - Griffin Yeates Center (1490 Government Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185)

This will be an interactive presentation on the ADHD assessment process and other issues that affect attention, learning disabilities, hearing, sensory integration and more.

Bullying Lecture

Join CBH for an informative session with Sandra Fabian, Community Outreach Program Manager with Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. Fabian will present the latest information on bullying and strategies for parents to help their children deal with bullying.

When: Wednesday, May 23 - 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Where: Tabb Library (100 Long Green Blvd, Yorktown)

A Night 2 Live 4

A Night 2 Live 4 is a presentation on suicide prevention that teaches how to recognize and engage persons who might be having thoughts on suicide. The presentation stresses safety while challenging taboos that inhibit open talk about suicide. A Night 2 Live 4 is geared towards all adults and older teens.

When: Thursday, May 24 - 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Williamsburg Regional Library (515 Scotland Street, Williamsburg)
